๐Ÿ’  Inspirational Story ๐Ÿ’

The coconut hanging on the highest branch of the tree would laugh and say on the stone lying in the river below.        It is written that you have to bear the flow of the currents of the river by just staying in one place in your fortune, to see one day you will be worn like this.        Look at me, how am I sitting above?  Stone would not listen to his ego.         One day in time, the same stone was eroded and turned into a temple and became revered in a temple, in the form of the symbol Vishnu.       One day the same coconut was brought to the temple as the worshiping material of those Shaligramji.       While recognizing the coconut, Shaligram said, "Brother. Look, the ones who are being worn out by refining reach this situation with the glorification of God.       Everyone is also made a character of respect, while the egotists fall down due to ...

The Goat and the Goatherd

There was once an adventurous Goat. He was young, frisky and curious. He would ask, “What lies on the other side?” The other Goats just bleated and ate more grass. The Goatherd would try very hard to bring this Goat back in time. The Goat would try his best to be free as long as possible. One day, as usual, the Goat went exploring. “Oh, no! That naughty Goat is missing again! Where has he gone now?” cried the angry Goatherd. The Goatherd whistled till his throat dried up. He blew his horn till he was red in the face. Tired of everything and wanting to get home to a warm supper and fire, the Goatherd threw a stone at the distant Goat. This stone hit the Goat’s horn, which broke into two pieces. The Goatherd was scared that the Master would shout at him for breaking the horn. So, he said to the Goat, “I beg you, do not tell the Master that I broke your horn.” The Goat said, “You silly fellow, I won’t have to say a thing. The broken horn will tell its own story!” ๐Ÿ”ฅDo not attempt to hide ...

The Clever Thief

One day, a Thief saw an Old Man counting his money. The Thief wished to snatch his money by making some excuse. The Thief decided to fool the Old Man and take away his money. “Why are you stealing fruit from my orchard?” the Thief shouted in anger at the Old Man. “You must be mistaken,” said the Old Man. “I do not like fruits, so why should I steal from your orchard?” “Oh stop it!” growled the Thief. Then he thought for a while and said, “Ah! Last year, you spoke bad things about me to your neighbour.” “No! That cannot be true. I did not live in this house last year,” replied the Old Man. “Well then, if it was not you, it certainly must have been your brother,” shouted the Thief. “It cannot have been, for my brother died two years ago, answered the Old Man. “Never mind, I know it was definitely an Old Man like you, I will not accept excuses anymore,” said the Thief. Then, he snatched the Old Man’s money and ran away with it. ๐Ÿ”ฅBad people will find any excuse to do bad things.

๐ŸŒธThe Peacock

Before he got his beautiful tail, the Peacock was an ordinary bird, with a small bunch of feathers. One day, the Peacock visited Juno, the Goddess of Protection. The Peacock told her that he wished to look grand and beautiful. Juno smiled. He was a good bird and she liked him. The Peacock then described the long train of brightly coloured feathers that he wanted to trail behind him. He also wished to be the loveliest of all the birds! To his great joy, Juno agreed. What a wonderful tail he got! Blue and green with a jewel-like pattern, opening up like a fan when he raised it. Now the Peacock decided to walk like a king! So he held his head high and walked with style! The common birds looked at him in surprise! Even the pretty long tailed pheasants were jealous! After showing off his tail, the Peacock decided to fly. The Peacock was shocked! He simply could not fly. He could take a few flying steps, but nothing more! He sadly realised that had lost a wonderful ability, simply because he...

Hello! All with a day of knowledge!

Do not rush to start your writing with large forms. This is one of the first tips from recognized authors. Stories are a great launching pad.  A fresh collection of short stories by Michael Suenwick / “Nothing special,” the cat said / confirmation of this. Be sure to read the introduction, he reveals a little his creative cuisine. I love such things, they motivate me to write. The stories are written expertly, and yes - no one forbids them to take apart a cog and understand how everything works.  "I clearly see this young writer in front of me - a long-haired, dressed in a black denim suit, he sticks out in a shabby little room on the second floor, opposite the shelter on the corner of 15th and South streets, and prints, sitting up long after midnight, and downstairs whores lead a continuous shrill squabble with his pimps. He writes fragments of plots, poems in prose, letters from the bottom of his soul - none of this is nearly suitable for turning into a story, bec...

To write a book for a year is a feasible goal

To write a book in the fixation genre, the volume of 90 thousand words, it takes a year.  On the chart 46 weeks - the work itself, and 6 weeks falls on: force majeure, vacation, malaise, bouts of procrastination or other independent causes.  Writing a full-length script takes as much time.  And here the main question arises.  Are you ready to invest so much time in the project?  In addition, beginners are in doubt: who will read this, will the publisher take the book, what if it doesn’t work out and I’ll leave the race?  I advise you to start with short stories, and scriptwriters.  If there are no ideas for stories, let the same characters from a future novel take part in short stories.  This experience will help to better understand the characters and pump over the writer's muscle.  For example, Michael Suenwick (Vacuum Flowers, Tide Path, Iron Dragon Daughter) began his work with stories.  He could not write a novel.  There were n...

How Coppola works on the plot and characters.

The greatest filmmaker of our time, Francis Ford Coppola (Apocalypse today, Dracula Bram Stoker, The Godfather), wrote and hung on the board above his desk this tip.  These tips are suitable not only for scriptwriters, but also for all authors.  "Notes F.F.K.  about the plot and characters "  1. Character is revealed in behavior / action.  2. The story can be conveyed through unique moments of interaction between the main characters.  3. A memorable moment often proceeds in silence.  4. In history, something must constantly happen.  5. Emotion.  Passion.  Surprise.  Trembling.  6. A shot can be in one word, but it is better when it is a whole sentence.  7. The audience seeks to empathize with the heroes and wants the sense of ownership to grow.  8. Avoid clichรฉs, everything predictable.  9. Spectators want their own characters and their life stories to be covered and explained.

Show, not tell

WE TELL: Masha was upset.  WE SHOW: Masha silently looked at me and tears flowed down my cheeks.  Another example:  WE TELL: Stepan is tired and tired of hateful work.  WE SHOW: Stepan staggered out of the office into the fresh air.  He ran a hand over his face, as if washing away everything that had accumulated during the day with a headwind.  With his other hand he held onto the wall.  It might have seemed to a passerby that he was drunk.  But no.  The look was clear and full of rage.  Agree, it’s more interesting when we “show”.

Elmore John Leonard Jr.

Elmore John Leonard Jr. (Elmore John Leonard; October 11, 1925, New Orleans - August 20, 2013, Detroit) is an American writer and screenwriter, a master of criminal literature and Westerns, whose works were distinguished by energetic dialogues, loser characters and laconic humor.  The press was often referred to as “one of the greatest” and “most recognizable” American crime writers in history.  Detroit residents regarded him as their Dickens, Stephen King as a great writer, and Quentin Tarantino as their creative guru and alter ego.  According to his books and scripts, 43 films were shot.  Many of Leonard’s novels and short stories have been filmed.  The most famous of them are “Shorty Contract (Get Shorty)”, “Jackie Brown”, “Be Cool!”, As well as “Train to Yuma”.  In 2010, the series “Justice” based on several works of Leonard was released on world television screens. ”  - source Wikipedia.  From myself I’ll add: since 2017 TV Channel: epix US h...

How to overcome fear of a clean slate

How to mentally prepare yourself for the fakaps and protect yourself from the writer's block  Almost every author experiences a paralyzing inner fear and panic over failure.  A little moral preparation and five questions will help to avoid or mitigate this condition.  If you are determined to write the PERFECT text immediately: a novel, a story, a story, and so on - stop and change your mind.  Believe me, fakap is good.  Fakapy is a component and inevitable part of our life.  This does not mean that we must immediately surrender without a fight.  No, just allow the very thought of the possibility of failure and lower the bar for overstated requirements for yourself and the text.  If you feel that panic and inner tension are paralyzing your will and actions, breathe and do the exercise.  Take 15 minutes.  Answer the questions in writing, follow the reaction to them.  The questions are:   • What happens if I do not finish the tex...

Why does a hero need a goal to create a story

No hero - no story.  If the hero does not have a clear goal, there is no good story to write.  At the very beginning of the creation of the work, the author must know the purpose of the hero.  History - must rush forward, otherwise the reader / viewer will get bored.  The hero is the object of the movement of history.  The goal is what makes the hero move.  The goal must be clear, convincing and difficult to achieve.  The reader / viewer should see her.  To keep the reader / viewer in suspense, show how important and difficult the goal is, creating additional obstacles.  Below are the main goals of the hero.  Hero's objectives:  1. Saving life.  His, beloved, relatives, like-minded people and so on.  2. Money.  Material wealth.  Glory, success, recognition - there too.  3. Love.  All you / we need is love.  4. Revenge.  In life, people rarely take revenge.  Who in dreams did not wan...

Start your romance (easy process)

A simple trick: how to start writing, come up with a plot, plan the first chapter and write it.  I looked at the reception translated by Sergey Toronto, reworked it a bit for myself, and I enjoy using it myself and am sharing it with you.  Link to the original in English at the end of the post.  * You must have the main character, without it almost nothing will work.     This trick has three steps:    1. We generate ideas of history  2. Create a sketch of the story  3. We write the first chapter  1. We generate ideas for history  We rely on the main character, your favorite genre / subgenre and create storylines that are interesting to us.  Choose any plot from the list and use it, if stuck - choose the next one.  Imagine this is a brainstorm and let your imagination run wild.  50 simple stories:  1. Monster Hunt  2. Turn into a monster  3. Departure on a trip  4. The poor become rich ...
