Show, not tell

 WE TELL: Masha was upset.
WE SHOW: Masha silently looked at me and tears flowed down my cheeks.

 Another example:
WE TELL: Stepan is tired and tired of hateful work.
WE SHOW: Stepan staggered out of the office into the fresh air.  He ran a hand over his face, as if washing away everything that had accumulated during the day with a headwind.  With his other hand he held onto the wall.  It might have seemed to a passerby that he was drunk.  But no.  The look was clear and full of rage.

Agree, it’s more interesting when we “show”.
