Why does a hero need a goal to create a story

No hero - no story.  If the hero does not have a clear goal, there is no good story to write.  At the very beginning of the creation of the work, the author must know the purpose of the hero.

History - must rush forward, otherwise the reader / viewer will get bored.
The hero is the object of the movement of history.  The goal is what makes the hero move.  The goal must be clear, convincing and difficult to achieve.  The reader / viewer should see her.  To keep the reader / viewer in suspense, show how important and difficult the goal is, creating additional obstacles.

Below are the main goals of the hero.

 Hero's objectives:
 1. Saving life.  His, beloved, relatives, like-minded people and so on.
 2. Money.  Material wealth.  Glory, success, recognition - there too.
 3. Love.  All you / we need is love.
 4. Revenge.  In life, people rarely take revenge.  Who in dreams did not want to punish the offender?
In stories, the theme of revenge takes pride of place; the reader / viewer loves when the scoundrel eventually gets what he deserves.

When the hero reaches the main goal - the story ends.
